5. U2- How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb
4. The Garden State Soundtrack (yes, I know it was released in 2004, but it’s my list)
3. The Mars Volta- Frances the Mute
2. The White Stripes- Get Behind Me Satan
and *drum roll*……
1. Coldplay- X&Y (White Stripes were a close second, but there is not doubt in my mind about this being the best album of the year.)
